New listing tools: style your page and keep your login safer
Your public listing can now look more like a real business page, and your dashboard login can be protected with an extra step. Everything below is in My listing — no extra software to buy.
Start with your About section. Instead of one long block of text, use Heading for titles such as Our Services, Bullet list for what you offer, and Bold for the phrases you want people to notice. Write a short opening paragraph, then list services, then add contact lines such as Phone, Email, and Website on their own lines. The live page turns those into clear headings, bullets, and labels.
Next, choose a page background so your profile does not look identical to every other listing. Open Page background and pick Light (clean white), Soft mist, Navy wash, Warm maroon, or Sky. Cards and text stay on white, so the page stays easy to read. This style goes live as soon as you save — it does not wait in the review queue.
Name, About text, hours, and photos on a live listing still go to the directory team for a quick check before the public page changes. Gallery, social links, videos, locations, and offerings still update right away.
For login security, owners can turn on optional two-step verification. After your password, your phone’s authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, or similar) asks for a 6-digit code. It is free. It is optional for business owners. Directory admin accounts must use it, which helps protect approvals and listing data.
Checklist: formatted About, page background, cover and logo links, hours, map pin, at least one service, and a website or social link. Then consider turning on two-step verification. For the full walkthrough, see the Owner guide.
